A jam-packed jaunt across the crispy morning waters of Saint Petersburg, this kayaking trip will leave you in awe of the most impressive sights of Russia's cultural capital.
You'll begin your journey at the base of one of the most jawdroppingly beautiful cathedrals in the city, the St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral, dating back to the 18th century. Floating along the Kryukov Canal, you'll pass by the magnificent Mariinsky Theater and on to the Moyka Canal. You'll enjoy a glimpse of the New Holland Arch before going on to admire the Yusupov Palace and then the majestic St. Isaac's Cathedral.
As if that wasn't enough, you'll proceed beneath the renowned coloured bridges, including the Blue Bridge, the widest in all of Saint Petersburg. You'll get a good look down Nevsky Prospekt straight from the water before reaching the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, built upon the very spot on which Alexander II was mortally wounded.
It is from this point that we make our way down the Griboyedov Canal to the start of our journey, taking in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, and floating past an assortment of famous bridges like the Bank and the Lion.
At six in the morning, Saint Petersburg is far from bustling with activity, so you can enjoy its sights in a tranquil and frankly magical setting. This unique kayaking excursion acquaints you with architectural splendor that can only truly be fully appreciated in the calm of morning.
